The Roland V-60HD AV mixer simplifies set-up and combines the best of event production and streaming , which includes SDI inputs for camera sources and scaled HDMI inputs for data, computers, tablets and other video sources. The combination of powerful audio features including multi-channel embedded audio, XLR and RCA analog inputs, de-embedded audio from digital SDI or HDMI sources plus a variety of video connections with a Program and Aux Bus makes the V-60HD ideal for a variety of live event streaming and production applications .

v3.0 program

The Ver.3.0 update improves workflows and expands control . The V-60HD can capture photographs directly from the PGM. Additional frame-rate support on SDI inputs includes 60p, 30p, 25p, 24p and 23.98p. Take control of even more PTZ cameras over IP using universal VISCA protocols. Analog audio input 1-6 can be assigned to the AUX output.

• The V-60HD is portable and small enough to be used in multiple locations in an office or outdoor meeting place.
• The four SDI inputs and two HDMI inputs are perfect for switching cameras and computers at the same time for dynamic presentations.
• Not all cameras support full 1080p so the de-interlacer on the SDI inputs allows you to mix and match 1080i and 1080p SDI video sources to multiple cameras without external converters.
• Mixing audio is easier than ever thanks to the V-60HD's Auto Mix feature that automatically balances audio levels from multiple microphone and video sources, leaving the operator to focus on switching video for the event.

• Multi-destination outputs include Program, Preview and AUX buses and make it easy to send the master output to the main screen or live stream and presenter notes to a presenter's monitor.
• Audio auto-mixing automatically adjusts the audio level based on weighting ensuring uniform levels for the room mix, the presenter to be sent to the recording, live stream or room speakers.
• Educators can use the multi-channel audio embedding feature to record 8 discrete audio channels to an SDI VCR for troubleshooting audio in later editing or to separate multilingual audio sources after the event.
• The V-60HD's user interface is easy for students and beginners and can be controlled remotely via the LAN port using Roland Remote-Control software from a PC or Mac.
• For fixed installations, the V-60HD can be controlled remotely through the RS-232 port using touch panel interfaces making it easy to control functions.

• Dedicated Aux buttons make switching to a second destination as easy as switching to the home screen
• A newly developed wireless counting system for iOS and Android devices streamlines events by providing a count that helps talent operators and cameras identify which camera is currently selected for the program and which camera they will switch to next.

Professional user interface

Professional cross send push buttons with PGM/PST LED color indicators. Robust T-Bar , DSK Quick Change Knobs for Key Level and Gain. Two dedicated PinP and Split buttons with knobs for center framing of Split and PinP positioning. Change the transition type using the mix or two preset cancel buttons with dedicated transition fade time knob. 3-inch front panel LCD display with quick access menu navigation for adjusting switcher parameters.

Video composition

The Roland V-60HD includes a downstream keyer (DSK), Picture-in-Picture (PinP), Split composition effects ideal for creating broadcast-style news and corporate presentations. PinP window shapes include rectangle, circle, heart and diamond templates to add a special touch to special events. The cropping of PinP and the center portion adjustment of SPLIT (Ver.2.0) are suitable for composing the vertically long screen of the smart phone.

AUX bus

Live streams, HD recording and trusted monitors often have different visual needs than the main program output. Switch any of the connected input sources to any of the four SDI or HDMI outputs without affecting the master PGM destination. AUX Linked PGM allows the AUX output to synchronize with the Program (PGM) output.

Multi view output

The Roland V-60HD AV mixer can preview all six video inputs and two still images , PGM and PVW on a single preview monitor via the Multi-view output. Also, you can view the menu on the Multi-view display, so you can make setting changes without changing the focus from the preview display. From version 2.0, it is possible to swap the PGM and PVW window and change the label name from IN1 to 6.

Automatic mixing

The included auto-mix function ensures the correct mix for multiple panellists during conferences by automatically adjusting levels across multiple audio sources. A priority weighting assignment can be set that is channel specific, giving the moderator or priority audio channel a higher volume level while using the Auto-Mixing feature, allowing the operator to concentrate on video switching and production.

Discreet incorporation of multi-channel audio

Assign up to eight analog audio inputs a separate built-in audio channel on SDI outputs 1 and 2 to ensure a separate pre-effect (dry) or post-effect (wet) mix to correct audio problems after the live event. This feature is also useful for multilingual events to record voice-over or language translation to its own audio channel on a separate master.

Smart Tally

Roland's innovative Smart Tally wireless tally system builds camera operator confidence and puts an end to the hassle of custom tally cable harnesses. Configured using standard IP protocols, Smart Tally turns your smartphone, tablet, computer or any web browser into a fully functional tally light that includes green for preview and red for schedule.

Remote control

Extending the V-60HD's audio mixer with external USB control surfaces is a cost-effective alternative to using a dedicated full-size audio mixer. Third-party USB MIDI controller devices are instantly recognizable by Mac and Windows PCs, including the V-60HD remote control software .
