Showtec's DB models, like this Showtec DB-1-8, are universal DMX-512 splitters . They are designed to distribute the incoming DMX signal, in a daisy chain configuration, into multiple separate outputs with an additional "Through" port . They can be mounted in any 19" rack or truss using the M10 nut on the back of the unit. It has bright LEDs to show the DMX signal status of each output and input.
